Simon Minton

   

Simon was admitted as a solicitor on 1st April 1981. Simon has specialised in handling high value and complex clinical negligence as well as personal injury claims for over 18 years. He also has extensive experience of commercial litigation as well as other areas of the law.

Simon is a member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority Medical Negligence Panel as well as a Referral Panel Member of Action Against Medical Accidents AvMA. He is also a Senior Litigator with APIL. He also sits as a part time Tribunal Judge usually hearing appeals relating to Disability Living Allowance, Employment Support Allowance and Incapacity Benefit.

Simon set up this specialist niche practice in January of 1998 having formerly been one of the senior partners of a well established West Yorkshire practice.

Simon is a fanatical Leeds United supporter as well as a keen follower of Yorkshire as well as English cricket. He enjoys sixties music and is keen on pop trivia.   He tells us that his favourite food is “Pasta and anything fattening”.   He also enjoys playing golf and tennis [both badly].

Sahida Patel

Sahida was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in October 2000 having previously been a Member of the Institute of Legal Executives for many years.

Sahida is a Member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority Clinical Negligence Panel. She is also a Senior Litigator with APIL.

Sahida helped Simon set up this practice in January 1998. Sahida has considerable experience of clinical negligence and personal injury claims. Sahida has a varied case load including high value claims. She sets herself high standards and prides herself in ensuring that she achieves the best possible settlements for her clients.

Sahida is fluent in Gujerati. She is also able to work with female clients dealing with sensitive issues to include plastic surgery and gynaecological problems.

A complete workaholic, Sahida in what spare time she has enjoys running, keeping fit and spending her money on handbags, shoes and clothes. Sahida’s favourite food is chocolate!

Samuel Hill

Samuel was admitted as a Solicitor on 15 January 2009. He read Law at Leicester University and undertook his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in York.

Samuel then completed his training at a regional law firm based in North Yorkshire. Upon qualification as a Solicitor, Samuel specialised in Professional Negligence claims including claims against other Personal Injury Solicitors.

Samuel joined Mintons in January 2012 in order to concentrate in the specialist area of Clinical Negligence.

Out of the office, Samuel enjoys travelling and exploring new locations. He also enjoys playing tennis, cricket and football and is a keen snowboarder.
